我游览过古老的北京天安门，玩赏过广州长隆野生动物园……却还是最喜爱我的母校——东方红学校，尤其喜欢学校的操场。操场上荡漾着我们的欢声笑语，刻印着我们成长的足迹。提到它，一种亲切感，就萦绕在我的心头。
跨入学校大门，首先映入眼帘的便是宽阔的塑胶操场。每天早晨，同学们都在操场跑步，每节体育课，体育老师便会带我们做各种各样的体操。每次塑胶操场它都带给我快乐，送给我健康与活力，让我这肥胖的身躯变得消瘦下来。
你再往前走十来步，就正式踏上了操场，操场的西边有一面鲜艳的五星红旗飘扬在碧蓝的天空上，好像是一位穿着红色裙子的少女在那儿跳芭蕾舞呢！每当星期一的时候，学校全体师生在塑胶操场开周会，我们会庄重地唱国歌……
操场周围还栽满绿树，特别引人注目的是一颗百年老枫树。它高大威武，就像一位时时刻刻守卫校园的“老哨兵”。这些参天大树还有一大作用呢，一到夏天，同学们上完体育课汗流满面，就可以来这避避暑气。
